Apogenix was spun out from the renowned German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ), based in Heidelberg, in 2005. Apogenix concluded a comprehensive licensing agreement with the DKFZ covering exclusive worldwide rights to develop and market APG101. DKFZ participated in the second and third financing round.
